Join the Fat Dad Fishing Show on our quest to help the average saltwater angler to catch more fish and have a better on-the-water experience. Each week we will be covering topics to help anglers get the most out of their time targeting multiple species spanning the entire east coast of the USA. We will cover fishing for flounder ( fluke ), striped bass, weakfish, sheepshead, bluefish, tuna, and many more. On some episodes we talk in detail about how to catch flounder, while on others we will take a deep dive into saltwater fishing gear. While our home area ranges from DE to NY, we will speak with guests throughout the east coast. EP6: Saltwater Flyfishing with Capt. Jason Dapra - Blitzbound Charters
In this episode we are joined by Captain Jason Dapra from Blitz Bound Charters to talk about saltwater flyfishing. Capt. Jason has been guiding fly fisherman for the last 20 years. He runs saltwater trips on the NJ Shore and Montauk in a 27' center console and also drift boat trips on the Upper Delaware River in the Catskills for wild trout.
Fly fishing is a fun and rewarding way to catch fish, but getting started can be difficult. Capt Jason will be able to talk you through the basics- tackle, technique, seasons, etc.- from the shore to the river.
